JEN DOEHRING's Bio

Jen grew up in Nashville, IL and was s three-sport athlete in high school, Basketball, Softball, and Cross Country. After high school she spent 2000 and 2001 pitching and playing shortstop at Southeast Missouri State University, where she received Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year in 2001.
 
After that she transferred to Southern Illinois University Carbondale. As a Saluki Doehring played shortstop through the 2003-2004 seasons, and received Second Team All-Conference Honors both years. Upon graduation Doehring spent the summer competing against national team preparing for the 2004 Olympic games.
 
In the fall of 2004 Doehring started coaching on a full-time basis, and started the base business model for what started out Turn 2 Sports Training.
 
Turn 2 opened in the Fall of 2007 in Collinsville, IL. The year and a half to follow was spend on helping Turn 2 thrive, and coaching a local 10u summer team. Doehring resigned from coaching after the 2009 season to allow herself to spend more time giving instruction in the entire Metro East area.
